Beauty and the Beast Party Ideas
Be our guest! We’re breaking down our Beauty and the Beast party ideas so that you can put together a themed celebration that’s both enchanting and budget-friendly!
I am no stranger when it comes to throwing birthday parties. I have always loved big celebrations. My eldest’s first birthday took place at the same hall where my husband and I tied the knot (I’m sentimental that way!), and we hosted over 80 guests.
That’s just one example. We love to go all out for different milestones for our little ones. Our family ALWAYS finds a way to party!
Parties for the Party Organizer
As the family’s self-proclaimed party organizer, I usually like to take it easy for my personal birthday celebrations. Planning parties is no easy feat, so as a treat to myself, I take it a down a notch for my own festivities.
However, for my 35th birthday, I wanted to go a different route. When I turned five years old, my mother threw me a Beauty and the Beast themed party. I had personally requested the theme because it was my all-time favorite movie. To commemorate that same party 30 years later, I decided to host a Beauty and the Beast inspired party for my 35th birthday. Here’s how I put everything together:
The Easiest Ever Beauty and the Beast Party Ideas
A Themed Tablescape
The best and easiest way to implement a theme for any party is by going all out for your tablescape. I like to create tables with elements of the party’s theme, pushed up against a wall so that you can further adorn it with signage, banners, pictures, etc.
My Beauty and the Beast-inspired birthday was very small. Invitees included my siblings and neighbours – so I made good use of a long table that included both appetizers and desserts on it.
A Themed Centerpiece
When you’re creating a themed tablescape, there should always be a centerpiece that ties everything together. I generally like having the centerpiece be the tallest item on the table. Remember: you want it to be the center of attention, so everyone’s eyes should gravitate towards it.
Little Details
When it comes to food prep, think of little details that tie into the party’s theme. I added homemade cupcakes to surrounded my beautiful Belle cake. The cupcakes were topped with grey buttercream to commemorate “the grey stuff” from the “Be Our Guest” song.
Colored Balloons
Balloons are a great “décor filler” and I made sure to use yellow and red to match the theme’s colours (yellow for Belle’s dress and red for the enchanted rose).
Yellow Outfits
When I was five, I asked my mom to sew me a beautiful yellow dress – she did not disappoint! The dress was everything I wanted it to be. For my 35th birthday, I found a floral dress with some yellow tones.
I love the use of colour-specific outfits to commemorate the party’s theme!
It’s little details like these that really brought together my small party. I love how it turned out: it was fun with a touch of elegance, and also intimate and full of delicious treats.
